Located just south of Auburn, Indiana, this ranch is a place of peace and healing for many. The dream of Alisha and Randy Shank, Image of Hope Ranch is a way of giving back: rescuing animals and ministering to their needs alongside of the needs of their clients. Sometimes individuals, or even families need a way to get away from the pain and problems in their lives, and we find that building relationships with horses and the other animals at the ranch is a less-threatening way for many people to process their brokenness.
Even some of the animals have been through miserable circumstances, whether injury or other trauma where they just needed a place where they, too, might find a new purpose. It’s a beautiful thing when we see teens that have otherwise pretty much given up on life then find a new passion in learning how to care for an animal and then to enjoy that companionship, especially in learning how to care for and ride a horse.
